I have type 1 diabetes. I was diagnosed with seventeen years, and found that juvenile diabetes. My body no longer produces insulin, and I must inject insulin several times a day. I also manage my blood sugar all day long. And because I take insulin, I have to eat, to avoid hypoglycaemia. The same is true for diabetes on my career? I want was a policeman and my first choice to join the Army Military Police, but diabetics are not allowed in the army. So you think my health will not allow me a cop?

It really depends on the dept policy. And you will see that many people who answer. Is usually the truth. I'm not a policeman, but I am a firefighter / paramedic and usually follow the same pattern. We also share the police themselves. I know that some policemen who were diabetes mellitus in our jurisdiction. Take on a case by case basis. That's what it says in our handbook
"Diabetes Mellitus - Potential excludability requires a case-by-case basis for the diabetes control and the presence and severity of symptoms and complications."
